Indo-Persian Documents

In 2018 I participated in a summer school for reading and analyzing Indo-Persian documents at the University of Göttingen. The training included deciphering seals, stamps, dates, numbering systems, and abbreviations in a variety of document types in both Nastaliq and Shekasteh. The course was facilitated by Chander Shekhar (Delhi University), Saqib Baburi (British Library), and Hamidreza Ghelichkhani (Tehran) and organized by Eva Orthmann and the Institute for Iranian Studies at the University of Göttingen.
